INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION FOR NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY ADMISSION TEST

  • Applicants must take due care while filling up the online form. The information provided by the applicant in his/her form cannot be changed or altered in any case and the University shall not be liable for any mistakes made by the applicant.
  • Applicants must register using their own valid email address and mobile number. All further communications to the candidates from the University will be made via their registered email address..
  • Application form can be filled in two parts - Part 1 is one time registration and Part 2 is applying online for the course of candidate’s choice out of the following 4 courses:
  • Post Graduate courses:
    1. Master of Science in Sports Coaching [M.Sc. (SC)]
    2. Master of Physical Education and Sports [M.P.E.S.]
    3. Master of Arts in Sports Psychology [M.A. (SP)]
  • Under Graduate courses:
    1. Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching [B.Sc. (SC)]
    2. Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports [B.P.E.S.]

Admission and Reservations

The reservation policy of the Government of India, as given below, shall be applicable. 30% of Seats are reserved for Women Candidates, how so ever if the seats do not get filled, male students would be taken

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SPORTS COACHING [M.Sc. (SC)]:

Available Disciplines under M.Sc. (SC): Athletics, Archery, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Shooting, Swimming and Weightlifting.

  • Selection Criteria: 
    • National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE): 100 marks
    • Physical Fitness: 20 marks*
    • Game Proficiency: 30 marks*
    • Sports Achievement: 30 marks
    • Viva Voce (Online) : 20 marks 
  • *Physical Fitness and Game Proficiency will be tested at selected centres in different regions of the country and the schedule and venue for the same will be announced separately subject to the pandemic situation.

    NSUEE will be of 100 marks and the duration of the test is 120 mins.

    Testing Areas: At the stage of admission procedure, the following test will be conducted:

Available Disciplines under M.P.E.S.: Athletics, Archery, Badminton, Basketball, Best Physique, Boxing, Canoeing, Cricket, Cycling, Diving, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kayaking, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Power Lifting, Squash Rackets, Softball, Swimming, Water Polo, Table Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Weight-Lifting, Wrestling, Yoga and other games & sports which are approved and funded by MYAS/IOA.

  • Selection Criteria: 
    • National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE): 100 marks
    • Physical Fitness: 20 marks*
    • Game Proficiency: 30 marks*
    • Sports Achievement: 30 marks
    • Viva Voce (Online) : 20 marks

MASTER OF ARTS IN SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY [M.A. (Sports Psychology)]: :

Candidates applying for M.A. (Sports Psychology) will not be required to select any discipline.

  • Selection Criteria:
    • National Sports University Entrance Examination (NSUEE): 100 marks
    • Sports Achievement: 30 marks
    • Viva Voce: 20 marks
    • NSUEE will be of 150 marks and the duration of the test is 120 mins

      Testing Areas: The written test shall comprise of General Awareness, Sport Science and Specialized Sport Knowledge that is being opted by the candidate.

    The Online Application Fee is Rs. 1000/- per course. Application Fee can be paid vide online mode only (Credit/Debit card/Net Banking). No offline mode is available for applying.

    • The application procedure for the NSU Admission Test is entirely online. Candidates must be aware of all the instructions. It is advisable to have the below information and scanned copy of the documents ready, before initiating the application procedure:
      • Certificate and Mark sheet of the qualifying examination (Max Size:200 KB).
      • Recent photograph  (Max Size:2 MB)and signature of the candidate (Max Size:20 KB) (Background Should be White for Both).
