Message

Advances in sport sciences, sports technology and sports innovation at global level has made a huge difference in the performance of sports. Indians have to keep pace with advancement of research and innovation. Keeping in view this gap, National Sports University (NSU) is being established in Imphal (Manipur) in an area of 325.9 acres with world class infrastructure, smart classrooms, modern laboratories, library, sports and residential facilities with excellent academic ambience.

NSU will be a specialized university and first of its kind to promote sports education and research in the areas of sports sciences, sports technology, sports management and sports coaching. It will provide a learning platform that promotes sports innovation, research and leadership.

NSU has adopted best international academic practices in its curriculum. In its effort to reach out to other International Institiitions and Universities, Memoranda of Understanding (Mo Us) have been signed with University of Canberra and University of Victoria.

As a sportsperson, I firmly believe that the most important thing for a sportsperson is to remember that he/ she only has one challenge and that is to overcome adversities and enhance his/ her sports potential and fulfilment of the same. I welcome you to be a part of this elite institution and hope that you will have a new learning experience in the sporting campus life at NSU. I am sure that after completing your academic program you will contribute to make India ’A Healthy Sporting Nation’.
