Details of Admission Tests: Postgraduate Programmes
The Admission Tests to the postgraduate programmes of the University consists of two segments, viz., Written Test and Skill/Proficiency Test in Games & Sports.
Note.
The candidate should report for Written Test as well as Proficiency Test in Games & Sports on the scheduled date 9 a.m. at the respective testing centres.
Admission Test Centre
The Admission Test Centre for intake for the academic session 2018-’19 shall be Khuman Lampak Campus, Imphal, Manipur and Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala.
Ineligible Candidates
Candidates not meeting the stipulated guidelines elucidated in the Eligibility Criteria for specific programmes as well as the details provided under General Conditions, shall not be eligible to appear in the Admission Test.
Master of Science (Sports Coaching)
- Essential Qualification: Any individual who possesses Graduate with Diploma-holder in Sports Coaching/ B.P.Ed. of 4 years or 2 years duration, or any other equivalent qualification with 50% marks, shall be eligible to apply for this programme.
- Desirable Qualification: Participation in Sports at State/District/College-level.
- Offered Disciplines: The disciplines in which M.Sc. (Sports Coaching) programme is offered are Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Football, and Weightlifting.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE (M.Sc [Sport Coaching] )
Admission shall be made on merit, on the basis of Marks (Merit) obtained in the Entrance Test as per the policy of the University.

NOTE
- The marks obtained by the candidate in admission test will be considered for preparation of merit list.
- Appearance in written test, skill & performance test is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for admission.
- Admission to physically challenged candidates of any category is not permissible, as candidates of this course are required to perform sports and other physical activities.
DETAIL OF TESTS
Proficiency in Games & Sports:Marks will be awarded by a committee on the basis of technique, execution and/ or overall playing ability performed in one game/sport, as opted by the candidate. Testing shall be done in the sport of Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Football, & Weight Lifting.
DIRECT ADMISSION
All the candidates who wish to be considered for direct admission shall mandatorily apply and report on 26th and 27th July, 2018 at Khuman Lampak, Imphal or NSNIS, Patiala alongwith all original documents including sports achievements before the evaluation committee. The candidates who will not be able to report on said dates i.e. 26th and 27th July, 2018 will not be considered for Direct Admission.
Master of Arts (Sports Psychology):
- Essential Qualification: Any individual who possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in B.P.Ed./B.A. (Hons) in Psychology or any Bachelor’s Degree with Psychology/ Sports Psychology as one of the subjects, with minimum 50% marks, shall be eligible to apply for this programme.
- Desirable Qualification: Participation in Sports at State/District/College-level.
