Note.
The candidates should report for Written Test as well as Proficiency Test in Games & Sports on the scheduled date at 9 a.m. at the respective testing centres.
Frequency of Intake
Admission to various programmes of NSU will be done only once in an Academic Year, through its own admission test, National Sports University Common Admission Test or NSU-CAT.
Ineligible Candidates
Candidates not meeting the stipulated guidelines elucidated in the Eligibility Criteria for specific programmes as well as the details provided under General Conditions, shall not be eligible to appear in the Admission Test.

Physical Fitness Test
The maximum marks for the Physical Fitness Test shall be 20, and marks shall be awarded based on the performance in all its components Prescribed norms shall be followed in converting performance of the candidate into points (Annexures II (A), (B), (C), (D) & (E).

Written Test
The duration of Written Test shall be 60 minutes, with a maximum mark of 40. The Test shall have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) or Objective Type Questions from General Awareness, Sports Awareness, Sports General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Comprehension Skills.
Proficiency in Sports & Games
The candidates applying for B.Sc. (Sports Coaching) and BPES programmes shall have separate Games and Sports Proficiency Test at the time of admission test.
B.Sc.(Sports Coaching)
Candidates who have applied for this four year programme shall choose any one game/sport from those given herein, as opted by the candidate, to prove their proficiency and for evaluation. The games/sports on offer are Archery, Athletic, Badminton, Boxing, Football, Shooting, and Weightlifting.
NOTE
The candidate shall choose the game/sport he/she intends to specialize in, for the Proficiency Test at the time of admission. Please note that the candidate shall not be permitted to change the game/ sport once he/she is admitted to B.Sc. (Sports Coaching) programme. A maximum of 10 students only will be admitted per sport/game.
BPES
Candidates who have applied for this three-year programme shall choose any one game/ sport from those given herein, as opted by the candidate, to prove their proficiency and for evaluation.

Archery, Athletic, Artistic Gymnastics, Badminton, Basketball, Canoeing, Cricket, Cycling, Diving, Football, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Kabaddi, Kayaking, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Powerlifting and Best Physique, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Water Polo, Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Yoga.

NOTE
Though the candidate applying for BPES may choose any game/sport given above for the Proficiency Test at the time of admission, he/she shall only choose a game/sport that is being offered by the University, once she/he is admitted to the programme.
Eligibility Criteria:Postgraduate Programmes
The common admission details regarding postgraduate programmes offered by NSU are enumerated below:
Qualifying Examination
The qualifying examination for each of the postgraduate programmes offered are provided below, under the respective programmes.
Supplementary / Compartment Candidates
Candidates who have Supplementary exams/ Compartments outstanding for the academic session 2017-’18, are eligible to appear in the Admission Test provided their Final Results are declared by 31st July, 2018. If the candidate does not submit relevant documents to prove that he/she has cleared his/her backlog, he/she shall not be permitted to register for the programme.
Other Conditions
  • A candidate is required to complete the Course and pass the final examination within four academic years from his/her first admission to either programme.
  • The minimum number of seats to commence a programme shall be Five (5). If the course is discontinued due to lack of the mandatory number of five students, fee shall be refunded to the provisionally selected candidates.
